José Urriola


José Urriola (Caracas, 1971). He has been involved with the field of media and communication as a reporter, scriptwriter, producer and university professor. He has received several prizes, among the highlights are the Honorary Mention in the Vórtice award for Abajo hay un cuerpo (Spain, 2004) and the mention for publication in the literary contest Salvador Garmendia for his short story collection Fragmentario (Caracas, 2009). His short story “La droga” was selected to be part of the Third Week of New Urban Narrative (Caracas, 2008). He currently lives in Mexico City. Experimento a un perfecto extraño is his first novel.
